The correct answer is SZ and Wolf, like most premium appliance brands ie Viking, Thermador, Miele, have a factory set minimum resale price and it is clearly published in their pricing book which the salesperson should readily show you. There is a retail column and a builder price column (which is the true minimum resale price available to all). Some dealers in competitive markets will offer free installation/delivery. There will not be a deviation from dealer to dealer in any specific region. If you can find a floor sample or scratch n dent piece, the dealer is not bound by minimum pricing. SZ has the lowest profit margin (25 to 28 points) of all the luxury brands. You will not be able to buy online. It is the #1 "pride of ownership" label in the industry (by far) but also the best from a performance standpoint. The dual compressor feature will eliminate freezer burn and your fresh fruits and vegetables will stay fresh substantially longer than any other fridge. It is manufactured to last 20 years which is substantially longer than other brands. There is no guarantee on any appliance that you will never have a problem buy SZ servicers are the best in the industry.
Total BTU output is not indicative of the power or cooking performance of cooktop. Distance from flame to bottom of pot is the determining factor for efficiency. The farther the distance the greater loss of heat. Also performance on simmer setting is not consistent from brand to brand. The Wolf double port burner does well on simmer. Thermador does best because burner will cycle on and off.
The wolf convection oven with dual elements is the best performing oven in industry.
Bottom line, you get what you pay for..
And I guarantee you Napoleon has a SubZero fridge... fwiw..
Good luck!
