That's not why I watch.

I tune if I expect them to talk about a sport that I already follow. If they're talking about something I don't like I turn it off.

other people don't, my brother for example listens to sports talk on the radio while he is driving. They talk about things he doesn't care about but he listens because he doesn't want to change the channel or he hates radio.
Same thing for people, sometimes something comes on and you just find yourself watching. Something that is said catches your attention, remote is in another area, whatever the reason.
