What are you bent out of shape about?

Large chunks of ice have always broken away from Antarctica. Where do you think icebergs in that part of the Earth come from?

Is it a big chunk? Yes, but so what? More ice will form, a new shelf will be created, and eventually that shelf will collapse under its own weight just like this one.
