Yeah, the no love for Derrick is odd, especially since he's killed it both competitions so far. He is divorced. That's why he wanted back on. He's the opposite of most of the older cast, who stop going on the challenge because they have real life stuff to take care of like being with their wife of children.

CT was on Barstool podcast the other day and mentioned he plans to compete another few years (if the casting folks still want him) before hanging it up to spend more time with his kid. He said once he's around 4-5 years old, he doesn't want to be flying to Thailand or Mexico and miss a baseball game or something with his son
