I'm about to do this on an Acura SUV. Anyone have experience negotiating on a luxury brand? This will be my first time. I've always heard that "luxury" brands don't negotiate much. From the information I've seen online, average savings for the model I'm looking at are roughly $2,500-3,000 off MSRP (per TrueCar). Going on sites like Cars.com, the dealerships all list MSRP as their price. My credit is no issue, I'm already pre-approved on financing at a lower rate than Acura is offering and have a sizable downpayment.
I've kept in touch with the Internet sales guy at the local dealership. My plan is to send out emails to BR, Jackson, Mobile and probably a couple Houston dealerships to see if I can get the ball rolling on negotiations electronically.
