I'm not a fan of several of GW Bush's policies, i.e. TARP, offshore royalty revenue sharing, Stimulus, etc...
But he is a really hard dude to dislike. He had some shite advisors around him with other interests in their heads. He genuinely felt hurt sending soldiers to war, knowing many would be killed and maimed.

W was a good man and a nice guy.
He ran for a office where that don't mean sh!t in the end.
He wasn't a astute hardball politician and thus got trucked by astute hardball politicians and DC players of all stripes.

I think that history would have judged him more kindly had he not had such overt cronyism. Michael Brown and Dick Cheney come to mind.
Still like him better than his pos father though.
