I could have added quite a few others for Ouachita Parish. Bill Russell was never an athlete while in Ouachita, he moved when he was 8.
Bradie James, Andrew Whitworth, Bubby Brister, Don Redden, Tommy Banks, Benoit Benjamin, Richard Savage and Toby Caston are a few others that deserve mention. I seem to remember Dallas Cowboys' TE Billy Joe Dupree was from West Monroe but like Russell he may have moved away at an early age.

Billy Joe Dupree lived in West Monroe through high school. He went to Richardson because the schools were still segregated.
