His family needs to say to heck with anonymity and sue them for invasion of privacy, harassment, etc.
No way in hell CNN would want to go to trial even if they thought they were legally ok. They'd settle to try to avoid the bad publicity of them going after 15 year old kids to bully their critics into silence.

If that was my kid, they would not find the number that would make me settle out of court with a gag order.

I'm all for calling out CNN for obsessing over some gif, but a lawsuit?? He and his family wouldn't have a case.
