Grimes has done a average at best job recruiting olinemen. Look at this years class. It is lacking as well.

Last season LSU was ranked the #1 OL by PFF. It does seem strange since they were definitely questionable in pass protection, but according to their metrics we had a great line.

2017's class has Deculcus at OT whom is regarded as a guy who can potentially play right away. Ingram and Charles are both 4star guards who could grow into starters.

2018 includes Chasen Hines who is a very good 4star guard, Cameron Wire is an extremely athletic OT and Cole Smith is the #6 ranked center.

2019 we have the #1 OG committed and #2 OT in the nation committed.

I'd say the future looks bright.

2015 haul was one of the best oline classes in the country.

Maybe it was 2014...but he has actually done and continues to do a good job recruiting oline.

Not to mention he's had to recruit against the stigma of LSU having weak offenses every year. I think he's done admirably
