8.5 is my guess. Without a team to protect you and pace you, there is not a real chance to win the Tour. Sky having 4 men leading out for Froome on any given day saves him 30% of his energy during a 100+ mile ride.

If a rider is as strong as Froome though, can't they just piggyback his team by hanging on Froome's wheel? In this year's race, Froome's advantage was solely in the time trials.
