Agree with Nashville.

Austin - Great music, but that's about it.

Huh? I found this to be the exact opposite when I moved here from Baton Rouge. I thought it was strange how nice everybody was. My first time buying groceries, the cashier was asking me about my day and carrying on almost to the point that I thought they were fricking with me. Even the people at fast food restaurants are polite. I always think how different it is to the rude people I encounter in Baton Rouge.

He's talking about liberals. He's the kind of person that can't like anyone whose views and values diverge from his own

Atlanta, you would think a town of its size would have really good restaurants. Savannah, GA has better food. No joke.

I mean, what and where do you eat because theres a pretty big variety of good food in Atlanta. But if you just want like southern food and seafood and don't enjoy ethnic food then maybe Savannah is better. I mean, Im sure atlanta is better for that too it's just more spread out in such a big city.

Does it? In my experience, Austin has a huge range of different types of people that all seem to get along and care about each other and their community. Are there lots of hipsters? Sure. But I'd rather that than toothless methheads and gangbangers.

Yes it does. It's certainly no worse than your average American city though.

every city you don't know a whole bunch of people in is overrated. the cities have long been infiltrated. what was once a proud part of American culture is now nothing more than a competition over who can have the fanciest house. the fanciest car. fanciest loafers, fanciest suit, fanciest vacation spot, fanciest blah blah blah.

frick cities.

end rant.

if money rules your life, by all means.

i much prefer family and as somebody who grew up in a rich family its just not worth it. talk to your kids and see how they feel. sure they may love the brand new range rover right now but one day they will look back and wish you didnt care so much for money.

whatever works for you though. your kids may be happy forever and their kids may be too. doesnt work for everybody though.

You think the only type of less than savory characters in Austin are hipsters?

no, I'm not rich. I probably could be if I really wanted to beg my family for money and shite but I know first hand that I would rather have a little more than needed to survive than be super rich.
