I hope people realize that, once you eliminate the ghetto and the activists/politicians, most blacks have more in common with Clay Young.
My town is about 75% black. I see rebel flags around town, sometimes displayed in a provocative way, and no one cares. The black men who work in the oil field (and I see quite a few) have nothing in common with the Gary Chambers types.
Our Mayor had to fill a temporary position on the city council and intentionally filled it with a white woman because "an all black council sends the wrong message to businesses."
The media stirs this up for ratings, but it is an activist, politician and media driven debate. If this trio of trouble would shut up for a month, you'd find that we have far more in common with the people in Texas who found a way to get that young working black man a car than we do with the agitators.
