How he wasn't canned the day after the election is beyond me. Zucker is one of the people most responsible for Trump being in office, I'd say in the Top 5 under Stone, Conway, and Bannon. Unlike them though, it was his incompetence that got him in office, not the other way around like the others.

Because the ratings were through the roof
They didn't plan on a post election CNN. Ratings are up for them but so far behind the rest.
By january they were using cheap plots for ratings to stay ahead of MSNBC in the average even though they were consistently losing.
Now they're last and by a lot

Clinton, Trump, Obama, and Conway in that order.
Bannon is barely on the radar and Zucker isn't.
