Pretty awful how they were trying to blame the spectators from day one. Those images of them mangled against the fence are haunting.

Prosecutors in Britain just charged 6 people in connection with the Hillsborough Disaster. At the time of this incident, Liverpool was only 4 years removed from the Heysel Stadium Disaster in Belgium. Given the level of football hooliganism in Britain in the 1980's, there was so much pressure on the FA to blame fans for this incident.

I watched a closed circuit like video of this and the people who manned the gates should have been charged with manslaughter.
