Yea, I'm just not sure why you'd choose TCU over LSU. I know they like throwing the ball around and have Justin Rogers, which I guess they've played together on that 7 on 7 but come on....LSU vs TCU?

Off the top of my head:

1. Smaller classes/campus, private vs. public, etc.
2. Proven offense that throws to a lot of receivers
3. Opportunity for early playing time
4. Head Coach has job security
5. Goldilocks effect: far enough away from home and yet enough LA players on team to feel close enough like home
6. TCU recruiting is heating up increasing the likelihood of solid teams in the future
7. Some people just prefer to play with their friends

But here is what he is saying in his own words:

Chase has visited both LSU and TCU in the past week, and he reflected on what has brought those two programs to the forefront of the conversation with just a few more days until his decision is made.

"I like the (TCU) coaching staff a lot,” Chase said. "I have a good relationship with everyone over there. I like the offense, too. It’s a great place to be around the city and everything.”

What role has fellow Louisiana native and Bootleggers teammate Justin Rogers - a TCU commitment - played in his recruitment?

"I talk to him almost every day,” Chase said. "He is one of my best friends. He’s not really recruiting me, but he tells me I know where I need to be. He’s a laid-back quarterback. Justin is always relaxed and doesn’t have any worries.”

Ed Orgeron, wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph and offensive coordinator Matt Canada have dialed up the press on Chase since early in the spring, helping the Tigers play catch up after falling behind during his junior season.

"LSU is the home team, and I always liked LSU growing up because I always watched them,” he said. "I am interested in the offense they have now. That’s one thing I am waiting to see.

"Coach Mickey is always telling me I will fit great into the offense and that I know where home is and I just need to make the right choice.”

Guidry for a little bit but he told me brick just cut off all communication at the time. Said he never talked to him and things went south from there.. not the only horror story I've heard of his recruiting days.... guy was a joke

I have Chase as my #2 WR in the state behind Marshall and over Jason.

Will be interesting to see how it goes Monday.

Landing Chase and Marshall could only help with possibly flipping Justin down the road.

I also think what the Tigers new offense/passing game looks like is big for the Parkway boys.

If Ed O loses this kid to TCU then ED O must not be the recruiter we thought he was. This is a need position and we need recruits that can contribute early not projects that may play year 3 and 4.
