So what do I need to accomplish this task. My last boat had the recessed foot control which was my 1st experience with one and it is a must have in my book. My dad has an xpress without and it seems the foot control is always in the way and sliding around. Anyone who did it before can walk me through? I talked to the dealership about it and he said he would likely have to send it back to the factory to add a brace which I think is BS.

Im not sure about the bracing or how you could fix it, im sure you can take it to one of the many boat fabricators around here and they could rig some supports, as far as installing you can tie some string to the back pedestal seat on your boat, mark the template that comes with the tray directly in the middle and use the string coming from the back of the boat putting it at the middle of the point on the front of the boat, line the template up and then take a drill with a 1/2" drill bit or so and drill out all four corners, then cut with a jig saw or whatever you please!!!!
