I doubt any of those kids are actually on scholarship. College baseball programs are only allowed to have 11 scholarship athletes on the team at one time.

Baseball programs have 11 scholarships per season to divide between the players, not 11 players on scholarship. With roster limits, most players are able to get at least something.

Your point is still correct in that a lot of the bench players are getting nothing or a few hundred dollars for books, etc., but there are a lot more than 11 players receiving some form of aid (and few to none receiving a full scholarship).
