Senator John Cornyn, a Republican, has questioned the effectiveness of a border wall, saying, “I don’t think we’re just going to be able to solve border security with a physical barrier because people can come under, around it and through it.”

There is a guy who doesn't know how's walls work. If you build it right, they shouldn't be able to go through, over, or around it. Then you only have to worry about under. Control your variables. But libtards will eat that shite up, because it's a republicans disagreeing with Trump.

It astounds me that we sent people to the moon several times 40 to 50 years ago and someone thinks that a physical barrier couldn't be combined with technology in 2017 to make life difficult for the cayotes and smugglers.

It's insane.

The wall is intended to serve as a deterrent and an impediment; it's not meant to be full-proof.
If done well--combined with helicopters, drones, boots on the ground, infrared cameras, sensors, fencing, etc.-- it would make it that much tougher to break the law.
Nothing is infallible, but at least our President is talking about providing help.
