That's pretty tacky. Knew a guy once who didn't mind getting a to-go box from weddings, engagement parties, banquets, etc., He'd help himself to whatever.
We all went to some engagement party that had a candy buffet with little bags for everyone to take a few pieces of their favorites. Thought his bag was going to bust open.
So trashy to make a scene taking extras.

Had a nephew and his wife eating with a group of us. He and his wife decided not to order brunch.
Kids eat free and both of them ate off their kid's plate.

Not the same, but...this girl I dated in college, her parents owned a small DJ business, and she'd DJ weddings here and there, and I'd set up all the equipment, easy money.

Best part though was, virtually every wedding since we're one of the last ones there, was going home with boxes upon boxes of to go food. Being a poor college kid, I woulda probably done the job just for the food.
