Dude, I've personally been chased 20 feet by a big cottonmouth.
Hit a golf ball near the edge of a lake and walked down to look for it. Son of a bitch shot out of the weeds like a missle at me. Chased me a long way. My dad was sitting in the golf cart laughing. I almost shite my pants.
I was amazed how aggressive it was.
