ever wonder why 247 has exactly 32 5 stars every year?

I look at it like this, an individual players ranking is a bit of a crap shoot. Usually about 15-18 players will be 5 stars across all four services. Tre White was a 3,4,4,5 I believe. Of these 3 star players committed, probably half to two thirds will end up with at least one 4 star ranking. The average player ranking is a good indicator for a class as a whole. I'll also add that a balanced class by position group is important as well because being heavy at two position groups can skew the numbers e.g. 7 DBs rated 4/5 helps with averages, but since only 4-6 can play at the same time and perhaps you have 10 DBs returning anyway you maybe weaker with depth at other groups which just prolongs the cycle for the next year.
