This might be a dumb question, but it seems to make sense (as a question) to me.
If I am an American, wouldn't I want someone paying social security taxes into my social security account?
Doesn't that mean the illegal loses money and I will get a bigger social security check at age 67 because "I" will have paid in more?
Shouldn't more people be going up to Mexicans and saying, hey buddy, need a SS number? Use mine!
What am I missing here?

Some jobs, especially low skilled labor, pay "cash" in the form of a check without taxes deducted. It's then up to the individual to report earnings.
An LLC can write cash checks and report it as contract labor up to a certain amount per individual.
I've been on both sides, I've been paid "cash" and paid "cash" before.
