When my dad turns 65 (and he is retired) in a year he will go from his old work insurance which is great to Medicare. That means my mom who is 62 and has cancer loses his work insurance as well. This means she will have to go to the market and get insurance with a pre existing condition.

That means her premiums will be extremely expensive and will probably not be able to afford them.

You gonna take on a second job to ensure that doesn't happen, right?

Why is your lazy arse father retiring at 65? Especially knowing his sick wife will get kicked off her plan? He's absolutely heartless to his poor wife. My grandparents both still work and they are 71.

Of course they don't need to work as they are quite wealthy. But they still go to work and pay out the arse in taxes.

Simple solution -- Tell your dad to put off retirement until your mom is eligible for Medicare. That way your family will take care of its own needs instead of forcing others to pay for your mother.

Yep, because that is what the abomination known as the Affordable Care Act has done to many hardworking people out there, including my parents.
