Or he could be used as seen in his film, which by the way isn't his latest film. A big tough TE who can help convert 3rd downs by setting up a block, by chiping then run a route, and get a big score in a goaline or redzone situation.
You want to recruit versital guys and that's what I see going on here. It may be why they aren't so highly rated because they don't do 1 thing the best but can do a multitude of things well. They may also display toughness and football smarts that the coaches like. Certain traits just can't be taught and are instilled in some football players. It's not like LSU is getting left over 3* players, we are picking who they see fits the team first idea.
The little athlete we picked up last night had great vision and cutting ability mixed with short field quickness. That guy playing at 205 to 210 will be a great slot WR who can also run the end around better than most. That's what I mean by fitting what you need. We might have a team full of guys they think can fill many other rolls so we just need to plug in a few holes the coaches feel can make our team whole. If LSU is offering then these recruits are standing out and do the things we need very well apparently.
I'm sure they are also looking into next years recruiting cycle to the recruits they believe they'll pick up to fill the voids at that time as well. Once all the voids are filled, you pick up the best players you can at the end to bring the best quality depth you can find.

His junior film isn't his latest?
