I hope your right. I'll be honest, I didn't think Gilbert would pitch nearly as well as he did today, but as someone who pitched all through HS (and no I don't claim to be a former bad arse) I know some days you just have it and some you don't. Let's hope whoever gets the ball has a day like Gilbert did today.

I do see your point though; I just wish that whoever gets the ball didn't have to have 2-3 true start in the championship series in Omaha.

No doubt.

But Gilbert as been on point for a month. The only issue was how long could he go.

The plan for Peterson being the 4th starter by the coaches was solid.

That would leave Gilbert for any long relief, and then Hess and Newman(before he tanked).

With Lange, Poche, and Walker.....smh

I give credit to the coaches. They had this planned out to the max other than Walker getting injured, and Peterson being a young kid idiot lol

We will see what happens. Geaux Tigers!!
