I got pissed off a couple of years ago and looked around. Of all of the quotes that I got, I didn't find anything that was significantly cheaper than my current state farm policy. since they have always paid my claims without much question, I decided to stay with them.
fwiw, all insurance rates are regulated by the government and are based on what the company has paid out in claims. if you find a company that is considerable cheaper than the others for the same coverage, think about why they are so cheap before you switch.
