Damn. Shame we won't get to see more of Saief for a while. Hopefully he and Lletget can heal up for the end of qualifying so we have some solid depth on the wings.
Chris Pontius isn't a scrub, though. Before his injury problems, he was having an MVP-caliber season in MLS and was deservedly getting national team consideration. Much like Davies and Holden, he'll never be the player he could have been in his prime, if not for injuries, but he's still a solid and experienced player. Doubt we'll see much of him in the tournament, anyways.
I'd rather us call up a younger player to replace Saief, but whatever.
