I know it's wrong because I've been in that situation where I was emergency reclamation for our unit and had to go when our aircraft was shot down. My point being most times its because of TO/Billet , but also due to the fact that it could be an MOS.
Even if the kid is a engineer, who is he with? Division or wing? Could shut this argument down very fast

WTH would you want to carry a pistol? I was a pilot and it was a pain in the arse. We carried both an M9 and an M4. When I took a hit and forced landed you better believe I manned my M4 and never once though about the M9 attached to my air warrior vest.
