i went through this when i chose mine. everything i read is males will be very goofy, clumsy, and affectionate, where the female is more refined,elegant, require more love from you for her to show her affection.

also if the males will will have a rougher time around other male dogs always wanting to show who the alpha is. I havent had too much trouble with this but i am alway on top of it when we are out at the park. i make sure he and what ever other dog i there that i am the alpha and everyone stay relatively calm.

my neighbor had friends over one time and they just let there male dog run out in our yard while we were outside. MY dog just saw this stranger sprinting at us and i have never seen my dog turn so aggressive. hair on his back came up and he bolted for him and once that dog saw mine running at him he stopped in his tracks. i run in yelling at both of them and they stayed separated, but i was afraid my dog was about to kill that dog.
