re: Healthcare is going to be the downfall of this country. States cannot keep doing this.

I've accepted the fact that the government is going to frick around with health care. We're passed the point of no return. But if we're going to do it, for God's sake, break it up by health and not income. Get the elderly, the sick, and all the other people who are too damn expensive to insure off the rolls and into a public plan. Then ration the shite out of it and ballbust drug companies to minimize taxpayer exposure. Taxes can be manipulated and reduced, there is no way to "insure" cancer patients and keep premiums cheap. It's just not possible.

I agree with everything you said...
Problem is that it doesn't get votes. Not even Trump (who I support) would like this plan.
I have said in the past that I have multiple family members in the medical field and they have said flat out that if healthcare isn't addressed in the next 10 years in a way that brings down costs that it will all come carshing down.
