The US started using standardized dimensioned lumber in 1924.

In the mid 1950's, I remember my father's carpenters complaining that they had to buy new T-squares and folding rulers etc to account for the dimension size instead of the old full sized lumber.

Sixty years is a long time to wait to sue about being cheated. It will be laughed out of court.
