It's hard to project these sorts of things, but if he can sit 97 with a wipeout breaking ball, he'll have a long career in the majors

As a starter next year I doubt he will sit 97. He probably sit 92-95 and can reach back and grab 97 when he needs to. By the time he is in the pros that can change it at LSU that is probably where he will be at. He's not an 18 year old freshman either he is 20 years old. He's just a little more mature than most college freshmen.
