what the GOP did in Georgia is essentially like LSU beating USM in football by 6.

LSU is suppose to beat USM. to only beat them by one score is not a good sign.

Ga. district 6 is deeply conservative. Its Newts old district. the GOP has held it for almost 40 years. they were ok with Tom Price leaving for trumps cabinet because they knew they could hold it. theyre supposed to win that election. theyre not supposed to scrape by and win it by 4.

if the right chooses to learn nothing from this, i would be perfectly happy with that.

The leftists could not even find a viable candidate from the district

And the a-hole lied and ran as a moderate republican to get as close as he did

Not quite.

It's like LSU beating USM by 6 in the opening game of the year when LSU is breaking in a new coaching staff and a new QB and replacing a veteran OL.

The power of incumbency is a real thing. Members of Congress get to send mass mailings to their constituents...at taxpayer expense...updating them on what they're accomplishing for their district.

The margin of victory was just fine considering she wasn't an incumbent.

When you look at the turnout, it is more like LSU beating USM by 6, but LSU did not play their entire first string and only about half of their second string, with the rest being scout team walk-on types. At the same time, USM played their normal starting lineup.

It wasn't that Ossoff swung a number of voters, just a large number of R voters stayed home. If they had turned out and voted, it would have been a repeat of November.
