NBA teams are making moves to aquire Butler, George and other big name players. Demps got us pick 52. Sorry if I'm not jumping for joy.

This is just so wrong, where to begin.

For one, Jimmy Butler and PG are both perennial all-stars but because of there differing contracts both of there respective franchises will go about differently negotiating/putting feelers out for them. Indiana has very little to no leverage. There are very few teams in reality one that will give away the "farm" for PG as he is a rental, every team gave them a call because he actually said trade me and no matter what happens this year (he makes all-nba or not) im not coming back.

Every team would take 30 seconds to call and say hey we have young players and maybe a pick or two, to which all Larry can say is Atlanta already offered me 4 first rounders, and the C's/Lakers can all offer me 3+.

Nobody is jumping for joy that we got the 52nd pick believe me, and nobody is upset we "gave" away Tim Frazier. Fact is having a second pick in this draft is very beneficial. Its a deep draft and the strategy to draft an NBA ready big, combo guard or point late in the draft will be there. Knowing Dell and coming from the Spurs the 52 could be a draft and stash, or again a project knowing we are about to get our own G-League team and groom that guy in close proximity. For all of Dell Demps faults this was the right decision and honestly a very easy one.

Let me be very clear to those who are buthurt over my statement. I could give two cents about Tim Frazier or where he goes. My problem lies with the front office of the Pelicans. Other teams are making moves to aquire good players and high draft picks. Outside of Cousins, Demps has been absolutely horrible. We have a team full of D league players to pair with AD and Boogie. We have horrible contracts ( Asik for example ). Pardon me if I don't get excited about a 52 overall pick. This front office is a disaster and it doesn't look like there's improvement anytime soon. Everyone can get on the Demps bandwagon and praise the Tim Frazier trade; I'd rather walk.
