Now you can include Taiwan? Not to beat a dead horse but most of Asia has long been into baseball including Taiwan.
Japan introduced baseball to Taiwan in 1895 when they occupied it.
Remember all those LLWS Titles Taiwan won in the 1970's and 80's dominating everyone in the US?

Introduction and popularity are two different things.
Soccer was introduced into the United States the same time as the rest of the would but really did not become anything until the 70's and become popular until the 90's
