usually there is more wiggle room, its not just $250 card or $500 card. But at this exact moment, that's what we have.
AMD Radeon cards: cant find em, no go
1060 6 GB: $250 (this may be enough for you)
1070s: overpriced and going out of stock at the moment.
1080s: $500, unaffected by the mining craze due to inefficiency
1080TI: $670. pretty pricey but a damn strong card
