no, they will say it wasn't that big a deal and that the race being this close is a testament to Trump's terrible presidency

But if Ossoff wins they will say that GA6 is the beginning of the 2018 Democrat wave election where Pelosi takes back the House.

This is true. These special elections are happening because Trump picked the incumbents to be in his cabinet, and of course the RNC is only going to let him pick seats that they view as safe. The fact that this seat ISN'T safe is already plenty enough to send a chill down the spine of any intelligent Republican.
