I grew with these damn things sometimes referred to as palmetto bugs. They love to fly right at motion at night too which is always fun when they fly right at u and get in your hair. We had millions of these damn things in ocean springs as they live all over big live oak trees. They don't live in your house they just come in at night to feed and to fly at you and get in your shoes and terrorize you. ( To this day as I result if this shite and some horror movies these are only creatures I have unnatural fear of. Not snakes, spiders etc but fricking giant roaches.
Boric acid on outside of any way they can get in your house and or bengal roach spray on outside of every window seal doorway etc. and just duck whenever you go inside
You can also;
Get a bat house they love to eat them
Order a thousand praying mantis eggs
Green snakes
Electric bug light will put hurt on them
Foggers will not work though as they live outside
Or best bet just move before you wake up in middle of night and there are a dozen of them crawling all over u and under the sheets and then you have roach phobia too
