Just moved into a house that is pretty old. Haven't had any bug issues and it's been treated with pest control spray.

But we have had the big flying demons enter the house. Mostly find them feet up kicking and dying but sometimes they're still running. Been seeing one every other day.

It's an older house and a rental so I think finding every possible entrance to seal off will be difficult. There are two large trees close to the house and it has a crawl space. There's also a pretty thick wooded area surrounding our street.

Is it possible to have a professional treat the trees? Or are they to be expected from time to time when living in a house with lots of trees around?

Go outside at night with spray. Look on the trees and all over the outside of house. Spray them.

I just bomb the house about 3 times a year. Spring, summer and fall... Use one more can than the square footage calls for to get the extra pop.

Get some ortho home defense max. I spray the base of all exterior and interior walls and kitchen cabinets every few months. If I do happen so see an occasional roach, it's on its back dead.

I had this problem.

What really took care of it for us was getting a local pest control to come out once a month.

During the initial set up he went through the house and found any small crack he could and either stuffed it with some steel wool or sprayed it. Those big bastards will find any possible way into your house.

Now he just treats the outside once a month for $40. No bug problems since, which is good considering I live under a bunch of old live oaks and have an assload of foliage behind my fence.

Sounds like you moved in to my old place... Are talking Baton Rouge? Goodwood area? I sealed up every opening I could find, sprayed every 2 months, and kept it clean. I still found 1 or 2 every other day

I just moved into a new place and I am having this problem as well. Do the smoke bombs make a bad smell? Can you smell it on the couch?

I have lived there about a month and I have already sprayed twice. Maybe I need stronger stuff.
