I'm getting tired of these 10 episode/season shows that take more than a year for the next episode.

The price you pay for really focused and tight writing.

If you have 24 episodes, complete and total filler would be impossible to avoid and you would get whole episodes revolving around Jimmy taking a trip to the dentist or wacky hijinks during a whole hour devoted to his community service.

However, the Gus, Mike, Nacho and Hector musical episode would be pretty awesome.

I'm not going to lie, but it's definitely frustrating.

But you KNOW that it's worth it with a show like this. There are no fillers and the story and character development consistently progresses. I'd be happy as f* with a 12 episode season, but the payoff will be worth it.

I disagree. There is nothing I would change about this show.

It's frustrating. Interesting to think that David Lynch churned out 22 episodes for the second season of Twin Peaks (after a short Summer layoff) and is committed to 18 episodes this season. I think it's mainly a business decision for the cable networks and show creators to limit their investment while having time to build demand and critical hype.
