No doubt Beal is still in play. What happened with Allen will blow over. LSU did what was right when we found out that TCU had inappropriate conduct with him. Any team should do the same.
This year on the field is going to be the ultimate sign of how this class will unfold. Offensively we need to show a massive change that shows results on the field; defensively we should be just as good as last year in my opinion.

I agree about the need to perform offensively.
Defense is going to be interesting. Year 2 of a new system typically means improvement. Losing as many talented players as LSU did (Adams, White, Beck, Duke, Godchaux, Neal, Bower, Jefferson, Thomas, etc.) usually means a step back.
Also have to factor in how a change in offensive scheme impacts the defense.
