If you're coming out of the losers bracket you should probably have to go to a 4th starter once. That's one of the big disadvantages of going to the losers bracket in a conference tournament or regional

Didn't mean to say it was easy. Just a lot easier than it used to be.

I don't know how many times OSUs catcher is gonna destroy us before Manari stops trying to test him.

Either way, I don't think it's ever been easy. I think the other day they showed a stat like 16 out of 58 teams have come out of the losers bracket to make the championship game/series. In terms of when the semifinal games are played, that hasn't changed much in relation to start and end of the CWS. When the semifinals started on Wednesday (last time was 2007), the tournament started on a Friday, so it would be the equivalent of the semis starting on a Thursday now. The second bracket also had no break between Sunday and Thursday if you fell into the loser's bracket and won the first semifinal game (not very fair to that side).
Anyway, 16 out of 58. That means before the current schedule took effect (1988-2007), 12 of 40 advanced out of the loser's bracket to the championship. That's roughly 30%. Since 2008, 4 of 18 have come out of the loser's bracket. That's roughly 22%.

Gilbert is playing on fire but OSU has 5 outs on 10 pitches, not a good sign

That ball just kept carrying Pap has been on fire

This umpire is a joke
Strike zone is way off the plate

LSU hasn't really been getting deep into counts, they've been swinging and hitting so it hasn't been as noticeable on the other side

Man this ump has been squeezing Oregon St pitchers like crazy
Posted on 6/24/17 at 3:09 pm to 5 Deep
This is the exact opposite of how common sense would tell you how this game would go
Posted on 6/24/17 at 3:12 pm to wildtigercat93
Still way too early to get excited but that's about as good of a first 3 innings that LSU could've hoped for

I won't feel confident unless we get 7 outta Gilbert. Which is looking good

I frickin missed it to because we got a flash flood warning too and looked away
