wipe down the inside of the barrel good with lard and burn it in first
will give you a good seasoning that will help prevent rust

Awesome, thanks. I have not got around to reading the stuff that came with it but I was going to check and see if there was any break-in or seasoning to do. Any other tips are appreciated.
