Actually now these satellite camps are hurting the kids who aren't good enough for the big schools.
Let's say Urban Myer and Ohio State go to a camp in Georgia at a D3 school. Before the new rules that D3 school would have 100 to 150 kids at a camp. Now word gets out OSU will be there that automatically triples attendance at the least. In a 2 to 4 hour setting not very many kids will be getting evaluated; when it's 40 kids to one coach.

Most colleges already know who they want anyways. When I go I always call the coach to let them know I will be there and then they look for you kiss your butt etc. If Johnny Joe shows up to the camp without being in contact with anybody, runs an average 40 that would get him attention any other year at a D3 level and is inconsistent in drills and one on ones; this person performance is watered down by the kids on the cusp of D1 level. Who a D3 has no shot with, but are fawning over because of their performance.

These satellite camps have turned into a money drop for the small schools that used to have 100 kids to a camp. Now that 400 kids show up at a camp that cost $50 a head, well you do the math. I think they should go back to the way it was before if everyone is worried about exposure because right now the best form of exposure is your social media.

You post a vid of you dominating say a 5 star player; which you wouldn't get at a satellite camp because those guys are just hanging out, and boom it goes viral then Coach insert name follows you on said platform watches your hudl calls your coach and invites you to campus and now you're being recruited.
