Trump has already been set up to be investigated for Obstruction and, if he testifies under Oath, Perjury.
This stuff is never going away until Trump is unseated. The GOP is "IN" on the Hit.
This is the way that these kinds of Hit Jobs work: any false allegation will do. Hammer the false allegation with the full assistance of mass media. THEN even if nothing is found, set up the Target for some kind of process crime such as lying to federal investigators or Obstruction or Perjury. Keep the investigations going on until the Target is politically destroyed.

So just so we're clear, right now we have a general investigation into Russian interference in American elections and an investigation into Flynn that may already be closed?
Russians have always tried to frick with our elections and the Flynn thing is/was a giant nothing burger.

Absolutely they are. Republicans control both chambers and they have ongoing investigations in both. There is a growing support for President Pense.
