Is this question most over-the-top stereotype 80's movie or what movie realistically best captures the 80's IRL?
If IRL...
St. Elmo's Fire
The loud clothes, the look, the yuppie, Reaganomics, drugs, chasing money...the cheesy soundtrack. It has every young big 80's star in it except Tom Cruise.
It encapuslates the entire 80's...as the Times said, it sits between the too early for the 80's Big Chill and The Breakfast Club...
