Don't overstate your case.
It's pretty obvious Comey lied about when he leaked this. No need to overstate the repercussions of it. It likely isn't classified and the "executive privilege" is a throwaway term in this context.

Didn't say it was classified. Said it was a lie, and implied possible perjury. Also wanted to attack Comey's "for the good of America" reason for leaking anti Trump information. He admitted not liking or trusting Trump before meeting him. He admitted Trump did not verbally order him to stop Flynn investigation, and testified to Di Fi that he cannot read Trump's nonverbals. Yet he leaked in an effort to get an independent investigation because he "thinks" Trump's actions were pressure on him. Yet he accepted Obama's AG pressure and complied? No leak for independent investigation?
Now I will proudly admit not to being a lawyer, but how can a private conversation between the president and FBI director in the White House not be covered under executive privileged information? Honest question. Please school me.

quote:Yeah, executive privilege is gone once a guy leaves government. That's why John Dean was able to testify to Congress about all his interactions. (That began on June 25, 1973, so Trump's Watergate speedrun is still on pace.)
