Who is the last great OT Grimes has recruited and developed?

He's only recruited and coached 2 classes and we haven't gotten any big fish. Made Malone into a very solid lt; no one saw that coming. He recruited and coached weathersby to start his fr year.

Pocic was never going to start at lt for a significant amount of time therefore we aren't much worse off than we were last year. Which was slim but definitely more experience. Also, no one knows enough about decelus or savage to make a judgement yet.

It's his job to recruit and land big fish, and OT is arguably as important as any position, maybe second to QB.

Malone is serviceable, but not good enough to consider adding him to his resume. Deculus will be a beast at OG, bookmark it for later, but may be a serviceable RT if needed at best(and that is no knock on him, Im a huge fan). Austin was connected heavily to Miles and committed to him, Grimes gets partial credit for keeping him on board. Weathersby is a win for sure.

We also lost Chidi Okeke, Willie Allen, George Brown, Jevonte Domond, and Andy Dodd. Okeke and Brown were young projects with high ceilings, left early at a thin position and were considered important losses(would have rather seen them both stay and develop at least providing depth). The others werent obvious losses, but he did recruit Allen - which seemed to be a miss.

Pocic was extremely under utilized and has drawn rave reviews in Seattle for his versatility, knowledge, and work ethic. So we will have to agree to disagree on that one.

Hopefully Savage, and Seth Stuart pan out, or Deculus improves his lateral foot speed, cause if Malone or Weathersby go out, those are our choices. Teheuma is not an OT, his skillset mirrors Deculus pretty fairly.

He has done very well at OG recruiting, but the jury is still out on OT where I believe we are razor thin and he needs to prove himself this cycle.

Footnote, he is kicking arse so far in the 2019 cycle, top caliber OG and OT, and I wish both were available this year.
