I think Comey's version will largely be credited as reliable as to the gist of the conversations, but people will question whether the wording is exact (whether due to natural memory issues or possible bias even if they were made relatively contemporaneously with the meetings). His summary memos will not have the same weight as says a recording would have, but it will likely have more weight than a recounting of the conversation by Trump at this point.
I think this is right.
Depending on what Coates and Pompeo testify to Mueller about whether Coates was asked to try to back Comey off the investigation, the evidence may look stronger or weaker.
