My recommendation is to go with a .22lr and .17hmr. .22 mag is hard to find now and both of the other 2 do everything you need on small game. Combo gun like CZ455 or Sako Quad is a good option. Super easy to change barrels.

I just ordered one of these for My Uncle. Man watching him shoot my 452,and hi. giggling like a teen age girl ( he's a huge old man),I had to get him one in right hand. Of course the 452 has been replaced by the 455,and being able to change barrels is even better. I am looking forward to giving it to him.
